Holly Golightly concert

Berlin, 29.11.2023.

My third post is about Holly Golightly’s concert on November 29th 2023 at the Roadrunner’s Paradise Club. The last time I saw her was in Düsseldorf, a long time ago. Her voice is still as beautiful. She was well accompanied by drummer Bruce Brand (Milkshakes / Headcoats), Bradly Burgess on guitar and Matt Radford on double bass.
The club was quite interesting. The Roadrunner’s is located in one of the buildings in the inner courtyard of the former Königstadtbrauerei, a brewery from the late 18th century. The hall was the former Kesselhaus (boiler house). As a small concert hall it is quite cozy. Both the original building and the interior decoration have a lot of personality, charm and authenticity. The vintage interior motorcycle-themed decoration and the wardrobe as a car workshop with old tools are quite unique.
There was a nice and friendly atmosphere also among the attendees and with the band.
The opening act was the Berlin garage band the No-Counts.
The concert was very good, with some funny moments, like the jokes for the guitarist’s birthday. The room was full but there was enough space to dance. There was a short break for paramedics to attend and move a spectator who had health problems and everything went pretty well. Luckily in the club there are some seats spread out which, in this case, was a great help. Holly announced that they will return to this venue next time and I will definitely come back to see them.
Here are some pictures and links about the bands.
